I am Vegan Crazy and this is my Vegan Dulce de Leche.

Dulce de Leche is Spanish for ‘Sweet Milk’, a popular caramel spread from South America, prepared by slowly heating milk and sugar. This is my vegan version, made with coconut milk, from my own recipe. It also has coconut cream, brown sugar, inverted sugar, vanilla extract, and pink salt. 

My Vegan Dulce de Leche is a creamy, sticky, and decadent spread with a mild aroma of coconut and rich caramel colour. It is ideal for spreading on bread, toast (with peanut butter!), crumpets, crackers, pancakes. It is delicious with fruit especially banana (sprinkled with nuts!), also with ‘churros’, waffles, and ice cream. It can be used as a filling for cakes or to make ‘alfajores’, banoffee pie, millionaire’s shortbread, etc. It can also be eaten with a spoon, straight out of the jar.
